The USA is involved in violence around the world, most often based on known lies (like claims of WMD in Iraq). The real issues (oil or land conquest) are hidden behind propaganda, as if we're fighting a "Global War on Terror," rather than our supporting the eviction of Arabs from Palestine. Or if we call it a "Global War Against Islamic Extremism," we make up the excuse to fight in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordon, Syria, Lebanon or Africa. After two years of detailed reporting of the news, as activist seeking a more peaceful, sane and caring world, we have come to two major conclusions.
Conclusion #1.The Constitution needs to be obeyed. Congress must declare all wars. No excuses. No deceptions. No doing it under some other name or resolution or "supplemental amendment." It's not up to the President. It's not up to the military making up SOFA's (Status of Forces Agreements) all on its own. The use of our military (more than a few hundred troops, trainers, advisors, or security contractors,or soldiers of whatever title or role) must be clearly approved by Congress in a Declaration of War, as our Constitution says it should be. Conclusion: #2. When wars are properly declared we should draft both citizens and corporations. Wars are serious. We need to be serious about them. Everyone should be involved. And, as citizen-soldiers fight for minimum wage or less, so also the business world should be "enlisted," to serve with the most minimum profits. Cutting down war profiteering will cut down war.

Still brewing...The Middle East Master Plan

Note: This issue have been blasting away for years. If it's not in the headlines this week, it will be there again soon enough. Israel Wants War With Iran. We have to first believe the paranoia: Iran wants nuke weapons. Then we have to turn a blind eye to the fact that Israel has "secret," illegal nuke weapons. What Iran is doing is not illegal. Nuclear power is not illegal. What Israel is doing is illegal. Israel's policies of collective punishment, apartheid and the slow starvation of over a million and a half people in the Gaza strip - also how it got it's nuke weapons and how it doesn't allow UN IAEA inspections (which Iran does). This segment will now be a permanent part of our Political Action News, since it goes on now, has gone on for years and appears determined to expand the wars in the Middle East in the worst way possible. We should not start another false war on false allegations of another nation seeking weapons of mass destruction when there is no evidence of that; in fact all IAEA reports have indicated Iran is cooperating, although our corrosive and toxic media often distorts that news. |

One person sending one email isn't going to change the world but, in fact, this is a necessary part, a start of working for change or influence in a democracy: Representatives, people, the media, have to know what you think; if they don't how could they possibly know or care? The most critical action and event is voting. The best success is electing better leaders. That must be part of any plan for real change. |
